Here’s the phenomenon of crypto assets

All of this happened not without reason. Many celebrities, musicians, actors, and even chefs who are also public figures have enlivened and promoted this crypto world. Indirectly, their followers see their activity on social media like Twitter and Instagram and are curious about this crypto.

These phenomena remind me of what happened in the HBO series that aired from 2011 to 2019, namely Game of Thrones.

The core premise of this series is how one person can influence others in various aspects of life and the different sacrifices, sincerity, and cunning that each human being makes to get the throne that everyone wants.

The development of crypto in Indonesia itself started many years ago. However, from the end of 2020 until now, in 2021, this is the peak point where our society begins to jump in and participate in this crypto world.

The climax happened last May when DOGE (Dogecoin), a coin based on a meme from the Internet, received a lot of attention just a few days before one of the wealthiest and most influential people in the world, Elon Musk, appeared on the world-famous comedy show. Saturday Night Live or commonly known as SNL.

He is known as the person who owns Dogecoin assets. Previously and also often promoted the coin on his Twitter account.

Before SNL was broadcast, several Indonesian influencers and public figures often said the tagline “To The Moon,” which means the coin’s value will increase and rise to the moon, and the sentence has become trending on Twitter.

Not only in Indonesia, but the whole world is also anticipating the rise of Dogecoin after Elon Musk appears on SNL. That’s why many people flocked to buy Dogecoin assets at that time and hoped their investment value would increase many times if Dogecoin succeeded in “To The Moon” at that time. However, what happened was the opposite. Dogecoin’s value dropped after the SNL show went live.

This reversal phenomenon is familiar to Game of Thrones connoisseurs and viewers when the whole world predicts something will happen, but in the end, the opposite happens.

One of the main characters in the series is Ned Stark, played by experienced actor Sean Bean. In season 1 of this series, most of the stories are told from the point of view of Ned Stark as the main character, and the audience predicts Ned Stark to live until the end of the story. And they expect that he will defeat the antagonist in the future because he is the main character from the start.

However, right in episode 9 of Season 1, everyone was shocked after seeing Ned Stark beheaded by Joffrey Baratheon, the antagonist character who, from the start, was just an ordinary child but became King because his father died.

Unbeknownst to everyone, he might kill Ned Stark, our favorite main character in the series. Since then, the series has received a lot of praise from various parties for daring to make a reversal of this magnitude, and from there, the series continued to grow every year until HBO made 8 seasons.

This is also the case with the world of crypto assets. The crypto world is as cruel as the Game of Thrones world, where various kinds of reversals will happen, and it won’t be that easy to predict. However, this is also why more and more people want to dive in and enter the crypto world.

It’s the same with the Game of Thrones audience, which is increasing daily because the story is unpredictable.

Elon Musk’s influence in the crypto world also reminds me of the power of one of the characters in the Game of Thrones series, Tywin Lannister. The father of the current queen and grandfather of Joffrey Baratheon, the man who beheaded Ned Stark.

He did not have a position in the kingdom and was also not a King like Joffrey. However, thanks to his connections, wealth, and immense influence, Tywin Lannister can rule and command whomever he wants without knowing the relatively young King or even control the King like a puppet.

This happens when someone has that much influence, just like Elon Musk—with the success of the Tesla car company, the development of the Paypal digital payment system, and SpaceX, increasingly making us curious.

No wonder he became one of the world’s wealthiest and most influential people. One tweet he sent on Twitter could even make the value of Bitcoin drop drastically. That’s how significant Elon Musk’s influence is in today’s Crypto world.

However, in the Game of Thrones series, Tywin Lannister finally stopped and could not continue the things he used to do when the King was growing up, and the pressure from his people began to realize his influence.

This is also likely to happen in the world of Crypto and the influence of Elon Musk. This already began to be marked by the MATIC coin being unaffected by Elon’s tweet when Bitcoin and almost all coins plunged a while ago.

In essence, this crypto phenomenon is getting more significant daily, and we can’t prevent it all, apart from the recent incident where Bank Indonesia banned financial institutions from using cryptocurrencies as payment.

This is not the end for developing crypto assets in Indonesia, and these crypto assets may continue to grow and spread. In the Game of Thrones series, when everyone has made The Wall/wall as high as 215 meters to block the White Walker ice zombie attack from the north.

In the end, the wall could not withstand, and the ice zombie attack could not be stopped anymore and broke all human efforts because, in the prophecy, it was stated that the White Walkers continued to spread and eventually invaded the city center.

Crypto assets will also suffer the fate of the White Walker attack. When the world uses cryptocurrencies, and their development helps the world economy, Bank Indonesia may eventually legalize payments using these assets.

Don’t be surprised and surprised if one day we order an online motorcycle taxi and the payment uses crypto coins. Like the tagline in the Game of Thrones series, “Winter is Coming,” where winter here means the upcoming White Walker ice zombie and will continue to spread and develop, the fitting tagline to describe the current phenomenon of crypto assets is “Cryptocurrency is Coming.”
