Bali NFT Event 2022: Exhibition to NFT Development
Quoting Tatler Indonesia’s Instagram page @tatlerindonesia, in this event, there will be discussions about strategy, investment, and the structure of NFT. In addition, as stated above, there will also be predictions from 30 global NFT experts who will gather on the “Island of the Gods”—the nickname of the island of Bali.
In addition, there will also be 300 NFT exhibitions from collectors, investors, artists, and creators in this event. Then, there was also a discussion on Metaverse Development and NFT Experience, including the Bali Tourism Project, Bali Experience Art, and Learning.
On the other hand, according to a report on Indonesiatatler.com, related to this event, the creator of the Galileo Experience NFTs, who is also a book author, Arthur Carmazzi, said that he hoped that approximately 200 participants would be able to attend in person at this event. Then, added Carmazzi, “about 500 participants joined virtually.”
The participants who will attend will come from venture capital circles, investors, artists, and management. Then, of course, there are also participants who are beginners and want to learn about NFT.
Uniquely, it seems, hoteliers will be present to enliven this event to seek an understanding of how to use NFT for accommodation purposes, which of course is a very large industry in Bali. Furthermore, the number of people who will come here and share their journey in starting NFT “from zero to hero”.
For information, this event will also be a historic day because there will be the launch of a new Blockchain base DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) through the Bali Artists Association—known as TITIAN. In this case, it is known that the NFT purchases will be collected, then the artist and the owner of the NFT will determine how to spend the money for the purpose of supporting art in Bali.
Bali NFT Event: What is the Future of NFT in Indonesia?
Throughout 2021, NFT did receive good attention from the public. In fact, the topic “NFT” is the most searched topic—beyond crypto—on Google Trends globally. The wave of hype or the fame of NFT was inevitable in the midst of sluggish transaction volume in the crypto-asset market in a few weeks, NFT sales skyrocketed.
Talking about the future of NFT in water, exponentially, the public interest is predicted to increase for this digital asset by 2022. This has been managed by the public’s interest in trading assets and works of art through NFT in recent times.
As for things that happened, such as the growth of public knowledge and understanding regarding the benefits and opportunities of creative and digital economic growth, including NFT. At the end of last year too, the existence of NFT was getting crazier.
NFT itself is already in almost all sectors that have great potential, including Metaverse and other digital investment platforms. Referring to DappRadar data, in the third quarter of 2021, NFT sales are known to touch the figure of $ 10.7 billion or around Rp. 152 trillion worldwide. To note, that number also skyrocketed, from only $1.3 billion (Rp18.5 trillion) in the second quarter to $1.2 billion (Rp17 trillion) in the first quarter.
The popularity of NFT in Indonesia also found its momentum when a man named Sultan Gustaf Al Ghozali “suddenly” became a billionaire after his selfie photo collection, which was sold in the form of NFT, sold out in the market. “Ghozali Everyday”, the title of the animator’s NFT collection, is sought after by digital asset collectors.
In fact, one of Ghozali’s NFT collections, entitled Ghozali_Ghozalu #311, is valued at 11 ETH or around IDR 47 billion. Ghozali himself until then had released as many as 933 selfies. The NFT was initially only priced at 0.001 ETH or (approximately IDR 45 thousand).
The viral NFT “Ghozali Everyday” which expects a good response from the community, is also assessed by the community and the global NFT community to start looking at the potential of the NFT market in Indonesia, which is then accommodated in the Bali NFT Event 2022 as a step to strengthen this potential.
