During the recent bitcoin hype, Jack Dorsey has consistently appeared in the media with an optimistic mindset about the future of Bitcoin. When the conference titled “Bitcoin 2021” was held in early June 2021 in Miami, United States, and was attended by thousands of people for two consecutive days, Jack Dorsey was also present as a speaker.
According to Jack Dorsey, Bitcoin has the potential to create a new financial infrastructure because it is much more inclusive, reaches all levels of society, has high flexibility, can protect citizens from currency devaluation, and accelerates fund transfers without requiring large admin fees.
Apart from owning bitcoin and often promoting bitcoin in the media, Jack Dorsey also made other contributions. He collaborated with Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z, willing to spend a lot of money to further develop bitcoin in India and Africa.
Not only that, but he also claimed to be building a decentralized crypto exchange (DEX) specifically for Bitcoin in collaboration with his colleague Mike Brock, who directly handled this project. However, there is no actual name for this member yet.
Mike Brock also emphasized that this project could make Bitcoin transactions easier. He also promised that in the future, the exchange would embed Lightning Network technology so that transactions can be faster, and the Lightning Network is also claimed to have a centralized character.
