Hello Indodax members! We see again on Wednesday! How are you? I hope you are all right.
After a while ago, I discussed fun things related to football clubs, the metaverse world, and watching movies in the cinema; this time, I want to discuss a little that has to do with education. Curious? Let’s read this article to the end!
As a superpower country, it is not surprising that the United States often brings up the latest ideas and technologies. Regarding crypto and blockchain, one of the Ivy League campuses (the top campus in America) allows its students to pay tuition fees using crypto such as bitcoin (BTC).
The University of Pennsylvania, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, offers an introductory class program for crypto and blockchain through the online education platform Coursera. The Wharton School of Pennsylvania program called “Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets,” costs $3,800. With the implementation of this new policy, the university, which bears the Ivy League title, hopes to attract thousands of students every year.
As one of the leading business schools in the United States, Wharton School will accept Bitcoin (BTC) and other crypto assets will only start this system in January. Wharton School will use Coinbase Commerce, a US-based crypto exchange platform, to accept crypto payments.

News of this cryptocurrency payment comes after the University of Pennsylvania announced that it was accepting $5 million in crypto donations in early 2021.
Although the University of Pennsylvania was the first Ivy League college to accept payment for tuition fees in crypto, another American college accepts tuition payments via crypto, namely The King’s College New York. In addition to universities in America, schools such as The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland, American University Paraguay, and FPT University Vietnam accept crypto payments for tuition.
So, after reading the article above, do you think anyone would be interested in joining the 6-week program at Wharton School? Do you think there will be campuses in Indonesia that accept crypto payments? Let’s write the answer in the comments column.
